Once upon a time there was a powerful king who had three beautiful daughters but no sons. Daughters were not allowed to leave the king’s palace, and their names – Kpanlogo, Alogodzan, and Nmaa Nmaa – were kept secret from the public.
As the king got older, he worried that he would not have a son to succeed him. The wise old king plotted to get his throne. He organized a contest for all the men of his kingdom: the man who guessed the nicknames of his three daughters would win their hand in marriage and thus inherit.
Earlier, a lustful man entered the palace. He walked through the palace until he saw his three beautiful daughters playing. He began to pale, acting like a madman, making women laugh at him. Not far away, his mother heard a commotion and wanted to know what was going on. The mother calls the eldest son “Kpanlogo?” Without receiving an answer, she shouted at her other daughters, “Hello Gordan?
