The Death of a Savior

We have been saved from spiritual death (separation from God). We have a new life that brings us into a close relationship with God. We are spiritually alive and kept alive by the indwelling Holy Spirit. We have been saved from eternal death (permanent separation from God in the lake of fire). Believers will spend eternity with God, in the glory, joy and blessings of His presence.

Through Jesus’ atoning death, we receive the gift of eternal life (John 3:14-16). This life is not only about quantity, but about quality: it contains a lot of life. Christian life is not hopeless and difficult, but it is full of God’s grace, grace and blessings. Because of Jesus’ atoning death, we can live a successful Christian life. We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to live a successful life. We have victory over Satan (Colossians 2:15). Believers must walk with power and authority knowing that no weapon formed against us will prevail.

Disappointment

Many good people have died, but their death is not the power of salvation, nor the power to save us from sin, nor the power to reconcile us to God.
