Tips On Changing Your Husband’s Bad Behavior And Encouraging Him To Be a Better Husband
I often hear from women who are at the receiving end of their husband’s behavior. Many of them are in a situation where they don’t want or can’t separate, so they know that they will stay with this person in a tight and tight way. But, that doesn’t mean he always enjoys how he treats them or treats them. And many people find that, over time, their tolerance for their husband’s annoying, annoying, or downright abusive behavior begins to wane and they want to take some action.
I recently heard a woman say, in part: “My husband is not a bad man, but he is a bad man sometimes. When we met, he was loving and kind. Today he is neither. He laughs. e. He can be mean.. And often lazy. His attitude is that he works hard all day and when he comes home he shouldn’t lift a finger. and our children. But he never thinks of doing anything to lighten my load. and when I don’t want to have sex with him because I’m just tired and desperate, he makes comments that show that he thinks most of this is my fault and that I disappoint him somehow. He rarely likes me. compliments or compliments. I might be shocked if you gave me a compliment. If you had told me 10 years ago that the man I loved would be one of those sitcom bad guys, I would never have believed you. . But I almost have mine. Divorce. I love him and we have children. But I don’t know how long I can put up with his behavior. When I call him, though, he acts like I’m a very emotional woman, brushes it off, or makes fun of it. How can I change him?”
To begin with, I asked this woman how she had tried to change her behavior in the past. She said that often, she would call him and either tell him she didn’t appreciate it or point it out and then withdraw all together, hoping he would “take notice.” This obviously didn’t work because in response, the man would either repeat his negative behavior or portray the woman as overly critical or overly emotional. Therefore, I felt that the first step was to change tactics, which I will discuss below.
Continue to Call Him Out on His Misbehavior, But in a Completely Different Way: I would never recommend that you allow your husband to continue his bad behavior without comment or reaction. But I have to tell you that I often hear from men who are on the other side of the equation. If you talk to them, all you will hear is that their wife always refers to them as the “bad person” and seems to take great pleasure in constantly pointing out their many faults.
I often get comments like: “My wife acts like I’m a bad person or something. I can’t do anything right in her eyes and it seems like she just likes to tell me as much as she can. No luck with that.” to her. It doesn’t matter when I’m trying to do better, so what’s the point?”
And that’s why you’ll often have better results if you try to find a way to paint your husband as the good guy rather than the bad guy. Because if you do, you will get a very positive response and more cooperation from him. He will praise himself and you will get what you want. It’s really a win/win. But if you continue it with more criticism and frustration, you may end up with more bad behavior and even anger which can motivate your husband to want to continue to push your buttons.
I certainly do not recommend that you ignore his behavior or even try to make it better. What I suggest is that you approach this in a completely different way and hope that you get a different (and better) result.
Changing His Behavior By Asking Him to Do Better: In my experience, the key is to give your husband a positive reward for fighting for it. If you can praise him (and reward him) when he exhibits the behavior you want, then he will be more likely to repeat it without complaint. One reason for this is that it feels accepted. You see him as the good guy you both know he really is, deep down. Men love to play the role of hero. So let him play the hero instead of the bad guy. As a result, he will be much more enthusiastic.
My suggestion would be this. The next time the wife comes home and the husband starts acting negative, the wife might say something like, “I see you’ve had a tiring day like I have. Why don’t we order and hang out together? We’ll both feel better and everything can wait.” Usually, the wife would scold her husband and, waiting for a fight, he would respond in some way.
But in this way, both people get a little relief and war is avoided. Another strategy you can use is to see your husband doing something right and reacting more strongly than you would when he does something wrong. Not only do you have to praise him to his face, but you have to praise him who will listen right in front of him. He will feel pride instead of sadness and he will look for ways to repeat the same positive behaviors. When he behaves the way you expected, you don’t compliment him with your physical affection. This is a great motivation for him to continue and, in the meantime, you both bond with each other and make it more likely that you both want to be kind and supportive of the other.
Basically, you’re giving him a chance and encouraging him to do the right thing, rather than waiting for him to do the wrong thing and then reprimanding him when he does.
