Simply put, emotional, or sexual transformation is the transformation of latent or dominant emotional/sexual energy into useful productive energies for self-growth, achievement of goals, personal change, or other purposes.
Think about it, what does it take to make a highly profitable fashion industry? What thoughts have arisen on the pillar of the large pornographic industry? Which craving helps you stay in shape, look your best, or drink a low-fat latte instead of a regular latte?
The Power of Desire
What happens when you are attracted to a member of the opposite sex? Something happens in your brain; It’s something you can’t explain. So, how can we learn to consciously direct our desires toward things less exciting than sex, drugs, and rock and roll? How can we assimilate this type of motivation into tasks like living our dreams or actively pursuing our wildest dreams?
For many of us, simply channeling a little extra water into the workplace would be a huge benefit.
The Power of Passion
Passion is easily confused with desire. In fact, the difference between the two is more or less a simple application of logic. Where they differ is in the fact that passion is connected to something that is perceived. In order to have a “love” for something, you must first acquire it or have a good working knowledge of it.
Arousal is closely related to the emotional response produced by the urge (burning) and can prolong the psychological impact of the urge.
The reason for this is that lust is an emotional, or chemical, release by the brain in response to ego-driven and primarily intellectual causes of desire. If you want something so deeply that it creates emotion, passion will release feelings similar to or equal to love to act as an emotional force.
This “feel good” chemical response is then used by the brain to categorize the pattern as desirable and a new neural imprint is then stored in our subconscious.
Any repetitive thought or action that is fueled by emotion can become a self-fulfilling prophecy. As you become consciously aware of your thoughts, actions, intentions and the role they play in your success or failure, you can begin to use visualization to complete the triangle. Using Visualization, The Last Step
Visualization is the act of mentally changing your thought process to “escape” from reality. Visualization is an integral part of many meditative practices, success workshops, and coaching strategies. Psychologists use vision to help their patients. Prayer is also a form of vision. If you’ve ever had a dream, you’ve visualized it.
To do this activity, you will need a colorful picture of something that has some emotional significance. You can use a picture of your house, your new car, your spouse, or a vacation spot you’ve visited or want to visit.
For best effect, images should have vivid colors.
Find a quiet, comfortable place to sit or lie down. Take care to remove tight clothing or items that could interfere with your experience, such as a pocket in your back pocket. If you are sitting, you should sit with your feet on the floor. If you are lying down, lie on your back with your legs stretched out comfortably.
Now, look at the picture for a few moments, focusing on the details, colors and environment. After focusing on the image for a few minutes, close your eyes. As your eyes adjust to the darkness and your surroundings, begin to recall the image. Do you feel the wind? Are there any smells? Maybe a garden nearby? Can you feel the sun on your skin? If it was someone’s picture, interact with them, hug them, be in the moment.
Use your imagination to put as much of yourself into the image and environment as you can. This is a function of the right hemisphere of the brain, so some people can do it easier than others. Don’t worry, just practice and take your time.
The key here is to learn to trick your mind into believing it’s your imagination. When you can clearly visualize something you want, and want it so badly that emotion and passion go hand in hand, you are ready to begin actively programming your brain using visualization, passion, and desire.
